The short film "The Comic Book Boy" is based on the homonymous author Ziraldo, considered one of the greatest editorial phenomena of all time. The project is one of the "Prêmio Nacional de Incentivo à Produção de Curtas-Metragens Infanto-Juvenis" winners, from the 2006 Ministry of Culture.
Produced by Oger Sepol Productions and Spirit Animation, the movie is a pleasant metaphor about the alphabetization process. It tells, in a dream like, the adventures of a boy that lived inside a comic book. There, he was happy and free to control his own universe. Until one day he awakes and fin himself in the middle of nowhere..
"The Comic Book Boy" shows different visual languages. It's a format assembly, combining real live action actors and 2D and 3D animation. With dubbings by Kayky Brito and Sidney Magal and counts with the participation of renowned talented actors, this short movie brings together contemporary alternative language to the brazilian child's classic literature in an educative, bold and fun way.
